Daniel Boston

Daniel W. Boston, DMD

Dr. Boston is currently Associate Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Previously, he served as Associate Dean for Clinical Comprehensive Care, Chair of Restorative Dentistry, Chair of Operative Dentistry, and AEGD Program Director. In 2000, he was appointed the Laura H. Carnell Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Temple University. Dan is a consultant and past postgraduate general dentistry review committee member for the Commission on Dental Accreditation, test constructor for the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations, and consultant examiner for the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (NERB). In the American Dental Education Association, he has served as chair of the section on Comprehensive Care and General Dentistry, and as Temple University’s faculty representative to the Council of Faculties. Dan earned his B.A. in Biology from Bucknell University and his D.M.D. from University of Pennsylvania. He holds several patents developed at Temple University, and has research and publication activity in the areas of comprehensive care, advanced general dentistry, restorative dentistry and instrumentation, and new diagnostic modalities.
