Categories:

Author(s):

Course Type: elearning

Target Audience: Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienist, Dentists

Educational Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Defining the 2 buyers of DSOs and Groups in today’s market
  • Special focus on reporting and KPIs as Value Drivers in your DSO

Abstract

If you are building a DSO, you have likely asked yourself, “I wonder what this business is worth?” Unlike a solo practice where there are common rules of thumb for value (70 – 90% of revenue), DSOs and Group Practices are valued on a multiple of EBITDA. During this course, we will define EBITDA and look to both quantitative and qualitative drivers and adjustments of this number so that you can position your business for that illusive 10x EBITDA Multiple.

Managing Safety Data Sheets in the 21st Century

Categories:

Author(s):

Course Type: elearning

Target Audience: Dental Assistants, Dentists

Educational Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:

•Describe how to streamline the process of distributing the most recent SDS documents to your team.

•Explain how to efficiently and cost effectively comply with OSHA guidelines.

Abstract

OSHA requires that dental offices maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS), formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). These must be in a location that ensures they are readily available for all employees in the office. This requirement falls under a set of OSHA regulations called the Hazard Communication Standard, and is often referred to as the “Right-to-Know”. This is not a new Standard, however in 2012, OSHA passed new requirements that directly impact dental offices. Manufacturers are now required to provide SDS to users of products containing chemicals. The Safety Data Sheet meets the requirements of the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS), and is intended to make it easier for the user to easily understand the SDS, which has been standardized globally. Manufacturers were given until June 1st, 2015, to comply and update their existing MSDS to the SDS format. Employees in dental offices must be able to access and understand the SDS and must be provided training on reading and understanding SDS.
