  • Learn the usage of a newly developed printed matrix with a proprietary treatment for the fabrication of composite veneers

Abstract

Through the utilization of a digitally designed printed matrix, we can create highly esthetic restoration in a very time-efficient manner. The goal is to elevate the esthetic outcomes in our daily practice while maintaining costs and time usage under control. This course is designed to present the benefits of the Digitally fabricated matrix system and contrast with other available treatment options.

Author Bio

Augusto Robles, DMD, MS

Augusto Robles, DMD, MS, graduated from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in 1992, and completed several mini-residencies in esthetics, adhesion, and occlusion in Peru. Dr. Robles completed Advanced Specialty Education in Restorative Dentistry at University of Michigan in 2006. He obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Michigan in 2007 and completed the curriculum at The Dawson Academy in 2016 where he currently is a scholar and visiting lecturer. Dr. Robles has been the Director of the Operative Dentistry curriculum at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) since 2011. Dr. Robles is a reviewer for several journals including Journal of Esthetic Restorative Dentistry and Journal of Operative Dentistry. Current interests relate to minimally invasive dentistry including esthetic treatments such as whitening, microabrasion, and resin infiltration and also topics related to operative dentistry such as adhesive dentistry, composites, veneers, and ceramic onlays.
