Educational Objectives
After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
•To learn a predictable protocol for clinical testing to determine a definitive endodontic diagnosis.
•To learn the diagnostic terminology as stated by the American Board of Endodontics to assure that the provider is able to document findings in a medico-legally correct way.
•To learn about natural anatomical markers which are present in all teeth to help guide the clinician to safely and confidently access the pulp chamber.
•To learn by case presentation the clinical process of access opening of an upper first molar.
Abstract
This course is designed to present a predictable method of attaining a definitive endodontic diagnosis to assure that treatment is always initiated on the tooth that is the source of the patient's symptoms or disease. The clinical testing protocol presented along with a clear understanding of the existing diagnostic terms of the American Board of Endodontics , will allow the participant to be able to determine and properly document the endodontic diagnosis. Endodontic access opening is one of the more intimidating procedures in dentistry. This course will present natural guidelines that will help to alleviate anxiety by providing knowledge on how to safely access the pulp chamber and locate the canals.
