Management of Endodontic Emergencies
Educational Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the endodontic emergency
- Receive a primer on how to manage the patient from the moment they call to safe solution of the emergency
- Impart systems in their pratice that will enable the staff/team to deal with the emergency patient from phone call to office visit
Abstract
This course will expose and teach the dentist techniques on how to diagnose, triage, and manage that dental emergency patients.

Author Bio
Tom Jovicich, DMD
Dr. Jovicich attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in 1986. He completed his Endodontics residency program at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1988. He then stayed on to teach at the Dental school in addition to going out in to private practice. Over the years, Dr. Jovicich has lectured around the world. He has published numerous articles in the field of endodontics as well as published his book on Endodontics: “Oh my God, I think I need a Root Canal”. Dr. Jovicich has been on the advisory board for product development with Kerr/Sybron Endodontics collaborating on bringing new and exciting instruments and techniques to the Endodontics marketplace. Dr. Jovicich maintains his private group practice in Encino, CA. In addition, he offers private three day courses on Endodontics Mastery: a hands on immersive program geared to the general dentist.
