Educational Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how you can easily make your composite restorations more predictable, durable, and beautiful.
  • Learn to make provisionals that will prevent errors in your final prosthetics.
  • Identify the factors you should (and shouldn’t) be using to select materials for your restorations.
  • Discover the differences between occlusion in dental school and occlusion in dental practice.

Abstract

Would you like to increase your confidence with veneers, crowns, and onlays? How about creating durable, natural-looking direct composites with no postoperative sensitivity? Whether it’s a complex case or simple “bread and butter” dentistry, many of the same mishaps and failures torment many of us throughout our careers.

Some of our restorations fracture, while others result in postop sensitivity. Some of our provisionals fall off the next day, while others are almost impossible to remove. WHY do some of our composites look “Instagram worthy,” while others just don’t? And, what do you do for that patient for whom you bonded the mesial corner of tooth #8 three times? What do you do now?

Trust me, I feel your pain. The solutions aren’t obvious, but they’re achievable. By learning them, we can reach the next level, achieving reliable results that lead to restorative excellence.

Thirty years in clinical practice have given me the opportunity to make nearly every mistake in the book. Learning from them has been the key to my success. In this hour we will spend together, I will share some of the tips, tricks, and hard lessons I’ve learned along the way.
