Abstract

Knowledge of state dental practice law is important for all dental health professionals. It not only serves to inform them of responsibilities for a given clinical position, but also clearly delineates what duties can and cannot be performed legally. More importantly, however, it serves the function of protecting the general public from harm. Laws regarding dental practice vary from state to state. This course provides a foundation in the California Dental Practice Act and covers topics with which every dental health professional should be familiar.
